優美な横顔のシェルカメオが連なる、1930年代のヴィンテージブレスレット。
淡く光を宿すシェルの上には、一つひとつ丁寧に女性像が彫刻されており、その静かな表情からは古典美術のような気品が漂います。繊細な装飾を施したフレームがカメオを囲み、連なる肖像画がまるで小さな美術館のような趣を感じさせます。
制作を手掛けたジュリアーノ・フラッティは、ファシズム体制下のイタリアにおいて、ラフィアや木、果実の殻、ナットなど、当時使用が推奨された素材を取り入れた作品で知られる存在。本作にも天然素材ならではの柔らかな表情が息づいています。
遠い時代の面影を手元に映し出すような、歴史と美しさを兼ね備えたひと品です。
